The jersey has 4 buttons on the front but is a pullover style shirt, like the ones worn by the Brooklyn Dodgers. The top button is missing.A fantastic catamount mascot patch is sewn on the left sleeve (see photos). The jersey has 4 underarm venting holes under its sleeves and is professionally hemmed. The jersey was made by Stall & Dean and has the #2 written on it, which may indicate the player that the jersey was assigned to. (There is no number on the back). There are a few small scattered moth holes, and, of course, the colors have faded on this antique. Some of the sewing on the piping on the front is loose. The cap is made of wool and has a leather band around the interior. It has a short bill, like the Brooklyn style. There's a lot of field dirt on the cap; you can almost feel the player who wore it sliding into second base and coming up with dirt all over his uniform. This is a holy grail item for a UVM collector that you are unlikely to see offered again. Here are some additional measurements. Pit to Pit: approximately 22. The University of Vermont Baseball Program has a long, proud tradition dating back to the 1880s. During this period, hundreds of Vermont high school graduates have donned the Green and Gold representing not only UVM but also their home state of Vermont. Baseball has always been one of the most successful athletic programs at UVM. In 2009, the athletic department cut both Baseball and Softball due to budget concerns.
